In a spectacle that has captured the imagination of UFO enthusiasts worldwide, Mexico’s Congress recently played host to an extraordinary event. Two mummified specimens, alleged to be “non-human” and approximately 1,000 years old, were unveiled in glass cases. The specimens were originally discovered in the city of Cusco, Peru, and their public display has ignited a firestorm of debate and speculation.
The Man Behind the Curtain
The event was orchestrated by Jaime Maussan, a journalist and renowned UFO researcher. Maussan, who testified under oath, claimed that nearly a third of the specimens’ DNA is “unknown” and not part of “our terrestrial evolution.” His presentation, attended by Mexican government officials and representatives from the United States, was a focal point of the event.
“These specimens are not part of our evolutionary history on Earth,” Maussan stated emphatically. Contrary to some theories, he clarified that these beings were not recovered from a UFO crash site. “Instead, they were found in diatom (algae) mines and subsequently became fossilized,” he added.

According to Maussan, the specimens underwent rigorous scientific examination at the Autonomous National University of Mexico. Radiocarbon dating was used to estimate their age, and DNA evidence was gathered. Intriguingly, X-rays revealed that one of the specimens appeared to have “eggs” inside.
A History of Controversy
It’s worth noting that this isn’t Maussan’s first foray into such extraordinary claims. In 2015, he claimed that a mummified body found near Nazca in Peru was that of an alien. However, this claim was later debunked when the body was identified as a human child.
The unveiling has left Congress representatives with “thoughts” and “concerns,” and there seems to be a collective interest in “continuing to talk about this.” Among the attendees was Ryan Graves, a former US Navy pilot who has previously claimed that the number of UFOs or UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) is “grossly underreported.”
A Legacy of UFO Intrigue
This event comes on the heels of last year’s 75th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident, a seminal event in UFO lore. According to theories, an extraterrestrial spacecraft crashed in the New Mexico desert in 1947, and the American government has since covered up the recovery of alien bodies.
Whether the mummified specimens in Mexico City will prove to be a groundbreaking discovery or another chapter in the annals of debunked UFO claims remains to be seen. What is certain, however, is that the event has rekindled public interest in the possibility of life beyond Earth, ensuring that the conversation around unidentified flying objects and their potential origins is far from over.
